Covell was a human male that held the rank of captain inside the Galactic Empire. In 3 ABY, while he was stationed on the planet Toshara, Covell came into possession of a datapad containing detailed information about Crimson Dawn operations, and decided to sell it to the rival Pyke Syndicate.Covell began handing around the market in Mirogana and eventually approached Kay Vess, knowing that the young thief was connected to the Pyke syndicate. Hoping to cut a deal with the underboss Gorak Palas, Covell asked Vess to inform Gorak about his willingness to exchange the datapad for a stake hold in his dealings. Unfortunately for Covell.
